Go On, “B” Beautiful

Berries

I love berries. They’re great tasting and fantastic for your skin! Especially the ones in deep, rich hues like blueberries and blackberries. I learned that these darker toned fruits are potent sources of free radical–fighting antioxidants. If you look at the ORAC anti-oxidant rating scale you can see just how effective they are at neutralizing fighting radicals: they have a rating of well over 2,000. Compared that to an apple at 218. Dr. Doris Day says…“free radical damage is one of the main culprits involved in the rapid aging of the skin.” She goes on to say… “your skin is also especially vulnerable to free radical damage from external sources such as ultraviolet light from sunlight and pollutants that are all around you every day, especially if you live or work in a big city.” So berry up!

Brazil Nuts

These hardy nuts are high in selenium, a mineral that helps repair skin cell damage and prevent premature aging. What I also like is that Brazil Nuts give you a tasty source of vitamin E, another powerful antioxidant. That’s why I try to go nuts every day!

BioSil Supplements

I’ve always believed that you should get as many of your nutrients as possible from your food. But I also realize that a good supplement can also work wonders for your skin, hair and nails. That’s why I take BioSil every day. I was hooked the minute I saw the clinical trial results that showed BioSil reduces fine line and wrinkles, increases skin elasticity, thickens and strengthens hair and strengthen nails. The nutrients in BioSil help the body build more collagen. I’m amazed at the difference I see in my nails, skin, and hair.
